Jesus falls the first time

Artist: Madeleine Borderies

Our Lord falls under the weight of this most heavy burden of His cross. The cross on which he knows he will suffer incredible agony. Even the physical weight of it would have done any normal human in. On the cross,  was the weight of the sin of all the world, for all the time; the heaviness of our sin, my sin. Why do we keep sinning Lord? I am guilty, and it causes me much remorse. Even yesterday I was guilty of judging one of my classmates and I am sorry for that Lord. I know that it grieves you. Thank you for bearing that sin. Without your mercy and love, I would be utterly crushed by sin, because I can not get myself out of my powerlessness of human fragility. Your love bears our faults. Help me Lord, in you, and with you ahead, behind, above and below me, I can do better.
